To get started we like to make an appointment to come and see your car. After inspection of the vehicle we make a detailed estimate, plan and work schedule. We work on a time and materials basis and always track hours against the plan. We provide a weekly emailed time-sheet including photos of the work we’ve accomplished to keep you up-to-date on the progress. Our projects range between basic restoration to highly modified custom street machines. We like variety and some of our past projects have even included imports such as Porsche, BMW, Volkswagen, and vintage Volvo cars. Other favorites are Mustang, Corvette, Mopar, Chevelle, Nova, Camaro, Firebird, Cobra, Tri-Five, Bel-Air, Impala, C-10, F-100, Mercury, Studebaker, Willys, Hot Rod, Lead Sled, Muscle Car, Model T, Model A Ford, Street Rod, Cadillac… What do you have? On many occasions we have provided just the body and paint work only for car owners who want to oversee their own restoration, but would rather not perform every task.
What We Don’t Do
We generally don’t work on vehicles newer than the ‘70’s, primarily because we understand older cars better. Our gallery speaks for itself in that respect. For complete frame-off restorations, we often send the chassis out for blasting before we begin. We have several great partners that handle this for us. Also, we don’t usually do internal engine or drive-train work besides unit replacement. Again, we work with several great partners who can rebuild the power train if needed. Of course, we perform light mechanical work such as brakes, suspension (including modifications), exhaust, and other work needed to make the vehicle road worthy.
